K's Chicken Wraps
Protein - Chicken
Serves - 6
1 pack of wraps/ pita bread (Mama Aida's or Prima)
500 gms boneless cubed chicken
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 tbsp Pasta Roma Herb sauce
250 gms finely chopped cabbage
2 tsps MA's minced garlic
Handful of fresh basil leaves
1 tablespoon butter
Mayonnaise for dressing purposes
Salt and pepper to taste
In a fry pan sauté onions and garlic with butter until slightly caramelised. Add chicken cubes and Pasta Roma sauce. Cover and cook until chicken is well done. Add seasoning. Cook a few minutes and remove from fire.
Add basil leaves and leave to cool.
Slightly cook the wrap. Apply a layer of mayonnaise to the wrap. First place finely chopped cabbage on wrap and add chicken mixture. Roll and on the flat side cook wrap with filling once.
Other vegetables that go well with this and can be added depending on preference are carrots, purple cabbage and peppers.
